Although I have a wedding to photograph on October 12th, Traci and I are going to try to attend a portion of Syracuse University’s Remembrance Week. Of particular interest this year is the focus on “Telling the Stories,” a project geared toward developing oral histories of the victims and their legacies.
This is part of my vow to attend at least one other “official” commemoration this year. I’ve entertained thoughts of going to Washington D.C. on December 21st, but I’m hesitant to attend anything that seems too personal or geared toward family and friends. I’ll probably feel a bit odd being on campus in October as well, but this is something I feel called to attend.
